Do you have what it takes to Escape River Island?

I am excited to announce we have connected with River Island Adventures in Longs, SC to host Get Your Paddles Wet 2019 trip. This will be a kayak camping trip along the Waccamaw River in South Carolina. On Day 2 of the trip you can participate (for an additional cost) in a Survivor Style Challenge. You will be boated out to Escape Island where you have to unlock a kayak, and paddle the 1/2 mile back to River Island Adventures. The first team back is the winner. Prizes to be announced.

With the response from last years trip I got to work early on Get Your Paddles Wet 2019. This years trip will be on the Waccamaw River in South Carolina. I have hooked up with J & L Kayaking in North Myrtle Beach to help setup the trip. We will spend two days and one night on the river. The Waccamaw River is a small black water river etched in the history of South Carolina. It is surrounded by wetlands and is a scenic paddle for anyone looking for some nice flat water. It is perfect for any level of paddler. The trip will begin on Saturday March 16th and we will finish up on Sunday the 17th. In 2017 Monkey N Around hooked up with the Wondering Electrician, from YouTube, and hosted Get Your Paddles Wet 2017. In 2017 we met on the Yadkin River near Rockford for a short paddle with Yadkin River Adventures. In 2018 we meet on the South Fork off the New River near Crumpler, NC. We planned on a short paddle with New River Outfitters but due to recent flooding in the area we were unable to get on the river. The last day of the trip we were able to paddle a short section.
